Collaboration
Envelope apps can be built together. Invite someone to an app, make your changes in your own draft, and merge them into the shared app when they're ready.
Invite people
Open an app in the builder and select Collaboration. Create an invite link and send it. When the other person opens the link, they join the app as an editor. You can also send an invite to a specific email address, and revoke pending invites at any time.

Work in a personal draft
When you edit a shared app, your changes go into a personal draft: your own working copy of the shared app. The shared app doesn't change until you merge. Two editors can work at the same time without overwriting each other: you rewrite the home screen while a teammate changes the theme, and neither edit touches the shared app until each of you merges.
Each version in the app's history records who made it, so you can always see who changed what.
Merge with a preview
When you're ready, open Merge. The builder shows you exactly what will change in the shared app. Review it, then confirm.
Merge to shared app
These changes from your draft will become the next version of the shared app. Visitors are unaffected until the owner publishes.

When the shared app has moved ahead
If a teammate merged after you started your draft, the merge stops and shows you what changed. You have a few options:
- Update your draft automatically: the builder brings your draft up to date with the latest version, combining your changes with your teammate's.
- Resolve conflicts with AI: if your edits and your teammate's touch the same parts of the app, AI can merge them for you.
- Start fresh: discard the old draft and begin a new one from the latest version.
See who's here
A presence bar in the builder shows who else has the app open right now. When a teammate merges, your view refreshes to the new version so you keep building on top of their work.

Who can do what
Access is set per app. The owner can invite people and remove them. Editors can build in their own drafts and merge. If the owner removes a collaborator, that person loses access to the app and to their draft. Editors can also choose to leave an app themselves.
Collaborators are the people building the app with you. Controlling who can use the published app, and how their data is shared, is a separate setting: see Sharing & Remixing.
